Shusa hosts conference on women in Islamic world

The historic city of Shusa, Azerbaijan, is currently hosting a groundbreaking conference titled "Women in the Islamic World: Traditions and Challenges". This pivotal event is organized by the State Committee on Family, Women and Children Affairs.

According to Report, the conference has attracted a diverse array of participants, including committee chairperson Bahar Muradova, the special representative of the President in Shusha district Aydin Kerimov, the Turkish ambassador to Azerbaijan Cahit Bagci, the Minister of Solidarity, Social Integration and Family of the Kingdom of Morocco Awatif Hayar, the deputy of the 6th convocation of Milli Majlis, chairperson of the committee on family, women and children issues Hijran Huseynova, representatives of the public, media, and employees of various state structures are participating in her work.

The conference will feature panel discussions on several key topics including the role of women in the reconstruction and sustainable development of Karabakh, protecting women's rights in a globalizing world within the Islamic context, new calls to action.
