On June 9, Major Bakhyshly Bakhysh Elshan oglu and Soldier Naghiyev Ali Elshan oglu, both servicemen of the State Border Service, tragically died as a result of a lightning strike while performing their duties to guard the state border in the service territory of the Lankaran border detachment of the Border Troops.
An investigation into the incident is currently underway.
