Azerbaijani envoy mulls COP29 with head of Kenya institute

Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Kenya Sultan Hajiyev has discussed the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29) with Executive Director of the Kenya Institute for Public Policy Research and Analysis (KIPPRA) Rose Ngugi, Report informs referring to the press service of the think tank.

“Today (June 6 - ed.), the executive director of KIPPRA received Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Kenya Sultan Hajiyev. During the meeting, views were exchanged regarding COP29, which will be held in November this year in Baku,” reads the statement.

The National Youth Council of Kenya, which also attended the meeting, noted that the purpose of the meeting was to facilitate discussions on youth participation in climate initiatives and COP29, with a focus on effective collaboration with relevant stakeholders to enhance multi-stakeholder development.
