Azerbaijani Prime Minister may visit Belarus in coming days

Azerbaijan's Prime Minister Ali Asadov may visit Minsk, the capital of Belarus, on June 3, Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Igor Petrishenko said at the event on the occasion of Azerbaijan's Independence Day in Minsk, Report informs Belta.

"We are looking forward to welcoming our Azerbaijani guests in Minsk in June as Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov is expected to attend the meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council (June 3-4),” he noted.

Petrishenko added that the 14th meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation and the Belarus-Azerbaijan Business Forum will be held in Minsk with the participation of Ali Ahmadov, Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan, on June 6-7.

"The two countries have been actively developing political, trade, economic and humanitarian cooperation, expanding direct ties between the cities and regions. The recent successful state visit of Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has confirmed that our strategic partnership will continue to strengthen and develop on the basis of the traditions of friendship and mutual understanding,” the deputy prime minister said.

In his words, the relations between Belarus and Azerbaijan have been tested by time and shared history and are based on mutual respect, trust and unwavering support.
