Turkish National Defense University’s delegation concludes visit to Azerbaijan

The visit of the delegation of the National Defense University of the Republic of Türkiye to Azerbaijan as part of the Foreign Study Tour has ended, Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Defense told AZERTAC.

During the visit, the Turkish guests visited the Land Forces and Combined Arms Army.

Deputy Minister of Defense – Commander of the Land Forces, Lieutenant General Hikmat Mirzayev met with the Turkish delegation to discuss prospects for cooperation in military education, as well as exchanging views on a number of issues of mutual interest.

The Turkish delegation also visited the liberated territories and military units stationed here, receiving detailed information about the consequences of vandalism committed by the Armenian armed formations during the occupation and the ongoing restoration work under the leadership of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Victorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev.

The delegation visited commando units and other military units to acquaint themselves with the conditions for military personnel and the military equipment of the Azerbaijan Army.

A meeting was held with servicemen, beginning with a minute of silence to honor the National Leader and martyrs, who sacrificed their lives for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.

The guests were informed about the combat experiences of units that successfully participated in the battles for liberating Azerbaijani lands and ensuring territorial integrity.

Then the Turkish representatives visited the Combined Arms Army.

Deputy Minister of Defense - Commander of the Combined Arms Army, Colonel General Kerem Mustafayev met with the Turkish delegation.

The current state of cooperation in military education between Azerbaijan and Türkiye was discussed, and the importance of such meetings for mutual exchange of experience was emphasized at the meeting.
