Heydar Aliyev Foundation’s projects in Russia discussed

Olga Lyubimova, Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation, who is visiting Azerbaijan to participate in the 6th World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue, met with Anar Alakbarov, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan, Executive Director of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.
During the meeting, they discussed cooperation between Azerbaijan and Russia across various platforms, acknowledging the established close relations in many areas, including humanitarian efforts.
Anar Alakbarov highlighted the significant presence of Russian language education in over 300 secondary schools in Azerbaijan, as well as institutions like Baku Slavic University and Azerbaijan State Academic Russian Drama Theatre named after Samad Vurgun. He also emphasized the activities of the Baku branch of Lomonosov Moscow State Unıversity and I.M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University.
The meeting focused on successful projects implemented by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation over its 20-year history under the leadership of First Vice-President of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva, particularly in the humanitarian field both within Azerbaijan and abroad, including in the Russian Federation. They recalled the restoration of the “Azerbaijan” pavilion at the Exhibition of Achievements of National Economy in Moscow with the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and highlighted the Foundation's ongoing efforts through its Russian representative office to further enhance bilateral relations.
Anar Alakbarov mentioned that the Heydar Aliyev Foundation will organize a concert program at the Helikon Opera in Moscow this May.
