Azerbaijan`s PM meets with Chairman of Human Rights and Equality Institution of Türkiye

Ali Asadov, Prime Minister of Azerbaijan, met with Muharrem Kiliç, Chairman of the Human Rights and Equality Institution of Türkiye.

During the meeting, Ali Asadov highlighted ongoing reforms aimed at establishing a democratic, legal state and civil society, emphasizing Azerbaijan’s commitment to protecting human rights and freedoms.

The sides hailed the continuous development of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Türkiye in the field of human rights and freedoms.

The two stressed the importance of the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the two countries` ombudsman institutions in Baku in 2021. They noted that the work accomplished under this framework has contributed to the development of cooperation in the relevant field.

The meeting also included discussions on the prospects for further development of mutually beneficial cooperation between Azerbaijan and Türkiye across various domains, including the protection of human rights and freedoms.

Azerbaijan`s Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) Sabina Aliyeva was also present at the meeting.
