Head of Azerbaijan's State Service of Special Communication and Information Security explore opportunities for cooperation with his Romanian counterpart

Head of Azerbaijan's State Service of Special Communication and Information Security Ilgar Musayev has met with Director of the Special Telecommunications Service (STS) of Romania Ionel-Sorin Bălan on the sidelines of the Bucharest Digital Innovation Summit in Romania.

During the meeting, Lieutenant-General Ionel-Sorin Bălan emphasized that Romanian Special Telecommunications Service of Romania has a military structure and is part of the national defense system. He underscored that the activity of the Special Telecommunications Service carries out its activity under the coordination of the Supreme Council of National Defence and under the control of the Romanian Parliament.

Ilgar Musayev noted that Azerbaijan's State Service of Special Communication and Information Security was a central body of the executive authority that ensures the information security for government institutions, regularly organizing audit and monitoring of information systems. He briefed the common practices and exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.
