Issue of France's colonialism policy raised at conference of NAM’s Parliamentary Network

The 3rd conference of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) Parliamentary Network was held in Geneva, Switzerland, Report informs.

53 delegations representing the parliaments of the member countries, international organizations and non-governmental organizations took part in the event led by Sahiba Gafarova, the speaker of the Azerbaijani Milli Majlis (national parliament) and the Parliamentary Network.

Director of the Baku Initiative Group (BIG) Abbas Abbasov and member of the Board of the BIG, former member of the European Parliament, Secretary General of the People's Union for the Liberation of Guadeloupe Jean-Jacob Bicep also participated in the conference.

Bicep spoke about the activities of the Baku Initiative Group, which he represented, and emphasized that it supports the decolonization process for the peoples living under colonialism. He also expressed his gratitude to the Azerbaijani side in particular.

Bicep highlighted the colonialism policy of France today and said that as a result of this policy of the French government, the peoples living under the colonial rule are facing serious climate problems. He called on France to take responsibility for the wrongdoings committed and demanded an end to illegal practices.
