Sustainable settlement of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan is very important because it will provide the basis for the prosperity of the entire South Caucasus region, European Union Special Representative for the South Caucasus Toivo Klaar said.
According to Report, he was speaking at a panel discussion on “Peace, Development and Connectivity in the South Caucasus" held within the framework of the III Diplomacy Forum.
He noted that ensuring security and stability in the South Caucasus is a vital interest for all countries in the region, adding that various options are being offered to Azerbaijan and Armenia to resolve the situation.
Klaar emphasized that peace does not mean the absence of war, but requires a comprehensive settlement that must be accepted by all parties.
