The US State Department did not comment on the scheduled meeting of Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister, Jeyhun Bayramov, and his Armenian counterpart, Ararat Mirzoyan, in Berlin.

Report informs that Matthew Miller, the press secretary of the State Department, left the relevant question to him unexplained and contented himself with urging the parties "to reach a durable, lasting agreement.".

“The ministers – foreign ministers – are meeting tomorrow in Berlin. I know the Secretary has wanted to have them here in Washington since December. Is it the end of the Washington process? And also, what is your expectation from tomorrow’s meeting?” a journalist asked.

“I don’t have any announcements to make, but we continue to encourage both sides to try to reach a durable, lasting agreement,” Miller answered.
