Azerbaijan will successfully carry out the difficult task of chairing the Asian Parliamentary Assembly (APA), Bangladesh Ambassador to Türkiye, M Amanul Haq, told Report.

According to him, although the chairmanship of APA is a difficult task due to the current complex and turbulent situation in the world arena, it is credible that Azerbaijan will successfully cope with this responsibility, taking into account its reputation in the international world.

The ambassador thinks that the recent meeting between the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, and the Prime Minister of Bangladesh, Sheikh Hasina, within the framework of the Munich Security Conference held in Germany on February 15–19, 2024, further strengthened the existing bilateral relations between the countries.

According to the diplomat, Bangladesh, where the parliament plays a strong role, will provide any support to the process of Azerbaijan's chairmanship of the APA.
