Armenia admits that it is an occupying state

Therefore, he cannot avoid paying compensation

Armenians, who established a state for themselves in the lands of Western Azerbaijan, occupied 20 percent of the territory of our country for 30 years under the claim of Karabakh. As a result, billions of dollars have been damaged in our country. Therefore, Armenia must pay compensation, and the international experts invited to Azerbaijan were also involved in calculating the damage. The issue of Armenia being an occupying state and paying compensation for the damage caused to the Azerbaijani state for 30 years is already on the agenda.

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan made interesting confessions during his meeting with the Armenian community in Germany during his visit to Munich.

In Armenia, they believe that Pashinyan put Armenia in a difficult situation by openly stating the fact that Armenia occupied Azerbaijani lands in the last 30 years of politics. To the question of one of the participants in the meeting about the right of Nagorno-Karabakh Armenians to self-determination, Pashinyan said that there is no issue of Karabakh Armenians in the text of the peace treaty with Azerbaijan. This means that the issue of Karabakh Armenians is no longer on the agenda, this issue is closed. The interesting point is that Pashinyan says in his answer that by taking the concept of "the right to self-determination" and demanding the independence of Nagorno-Karabakh, we thought that we were making a political attack against Azerbaijan. In fact, we have fought against the West, which created this international norm. This was not a smart approach...

With these words, Pashinyan admits that Armenia opposes the principles of the international community. Both the established Minsk group and the countries that intervened in the case have always followed the principle of territorial integrity of Azerbaijan in solving this issue, and this principle has never changed. The fact that Karabakh is the territory of Azerbaijan has never been questioned by anyone, and the fact that Armenia occupied this territory of Azerbaijan, based on these principles, was accepted by the world community and international organizations. Yes, the norms of self-determination of nations were adopted by the UN in 1966, and these norms could not be applied to the Armenian population living in Karabakh, because the Armenian people received this right once in the form of the Republic of Armenia. It was contrary to the principles of the UN to give this norm a second time to some community on the territory of another country. And in fact, Armenia's making such demands was considered a claim to the territory of another country, and this occupation was brought to an end during the 44-day war.

In his speech at this meeting, Pashinyan actually wants to say that we "tried to deceive the world" in all international circles where the conflict was discussed, but finally it turned out that Armenia occupied the territory of another country. It turns out that Armenia has been an aggressor for 30 years, and after that, very serious deprivations must come for Armenia.

One of the political scientists who commented on Pashinyan's speech, David Grigoryan, says on his YouTube channel that Pashinyan put Armenia in a difficult situation with this speech. "If you admit that you have occupied the territory of a country, you must answer for it. Because you occupied the territory and kept it under occupation for 30 years, you must answer for the damage you caused to this country. We are talking about billions of dollars. As funds, Armenia will not be able to pay this amount. At this time, two options appear: First, you have to pay for the damage you caused to Azerbaijan in 30 years, and second, if you don't have money, you have to give land instead.

Armenian commentators talk about the possibility that this speech belongs to the head of state of Armenia, which may have dangerous consequences. These views can and should be taken as the basis for the decision-making of international courts. Armenia should be condemned for occupying the territories of Azerbaijan for many years and causing material damage to our country.
