Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov received the EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the crisis in Georgia, Toivo Klaar, Report informs, citing the MFA.
At the meeting, the parties discussed the current state of Azerbaijan-European Union relations, the normalization process between Azerbaijan and Armenia, and the prospects of the draft peace agreement.
Bayramov pointed out that the Armenian provocation, which resulted in the wounding of an Azerbaijani military serviceman as a result of sniper fire without any provoking factor after 5 months of stability, was aimed at dealing a blow to the peace process.
The parties also exchanged views on bilateral and regional issues of mutual interest.
