Bahrain highly values Azerbaijan's chairmanship of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly, the Speaker of the Council of Representatives of the Kingdom of Bahrain, Ahmed bin Salman Al-Musallam, said during the 14th plenary session of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly in Baku, Report informs.

He wished success to Azerbaijan in its role as chairman of the APA for the next two years.

"The topic of today's session is very important at the global level. Bahrain is always committed to the basic principles of sustainable development and is ready to strengthen cooperation through regional interaction," Al-Musallam said.

The 14th plenary session of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly (APA) is taking place in Baku today.

Meetings of committees on political, economic, budgetary, social and cultural issues will be organized during the session. The Baku Declaration and the final report of the APA will be adopted following the session.

At a meeting of the executive council in Antalya, Türkiye, in November 2023,, Azerbaijan was elected chairman of the APA for 2024-2025.
