The influential Peruvian news portal "La Razon" published an article entitled "Terror in Karabakh" authored by Ricardo Sanchez, a well-known Peruvian journalist who visited Azerbaijan, Report informs, citing the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Mexico.

The article assesses the merciless killing of hundreds of innocent people by Armenian armed groups during the Khojaly genocide and the burial of some of them in a mass grave near the fortress walls in the Asgaran settlement as an atrocity.

"As a result of the multi-year occupation, genocide, deportation, and terrorism policy carried out by Armenia against Azerbaijan, thousands of Azerbaijanis became victims of ethnic and religious hatred, and many were captured or disappeared. The discovery of the remains of murdered people from different parts of Karabakh confirms that Armenia committed genocide against Azerbaijan," the article said.

The author wrote that one of the merciless killers, Rashid Beglaryan, a member of illegal Armenian armed groups operating in the Karabakh region in the early 1990s, who was captured during local anti-terrorist measures, admitted that he killed about 200 Azerbaijanis, mostly women, children, and the elderly, with automatic weapons. He gave detailed information about the places where crimes against civilians were committed.
