The snap presidential elections in Azerbaijan were completely transparent and democratic, the head of the observer mission from the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly Sanya Praseuth told a press conference in Baku.

According to Report, Praseuth emphasized that no violations were recorded during the monitoring of the elections.

He said the observers familiarized themselves with the voting process at seven polling stations and were present during the vote counting process.

"The conclusion of our mission is this: the elections were completely transparent and democratic, no cases of pressure were recorded," Praseuth said.

He added that the voting process took place in a calm atmosphere without any incidents. According to him, thanks to the stable situation in the country, both local and international observers had the opportunity to freely monitor the electoral process and voting progress.
