Precinct election commissions have been established in anticipation of the snap presidential election scheduled in Azerbaijan on February 7 in several Arab countries.

As per the Consulate General of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Dubai, precinct election commission No.56 has been formed under the 2nd electorate of Yasamal No.16 in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates, in preparation for the snap presidential election. The Consulate General urges Azerbaijani citizens residing in Dubai to submit their documents (passport, ID card) to the precinct election commission on the election day.

Additionally, three more precinct election commissions have been set up in the capital cities of Amman (Jordan), Abu Dhabi (UAE), and Riyadh (Saudi Arabia) at the administrative buildings of the Azerbaijani embassies in those respective countries.

The announcements from the diplomatic missions emphasize that the precinct election commissions have been established to facilitate the participation of citizens residing outside Azerbaijan or on long-term foreign assignments in the election process.

Voting in these countries will commence at 8:00 a.m. and conclude at 7:00 p.m.
