Azerbaijan's success irritates the European Union (EU) and especially France, one of its leading members, an expert on international relations, and a member of the Russian Union of Journalists, Yevgeny Mikhailov told Report, while commenting on the statements of the officials of the EU member countries and some other Western countries criticizing Azerbaijan.

According to the expert, this negative point may also be related to politicians in these countries being influenced by the Armenian lobby:

"The vague comments addressed to the Azerbaijani judicial system actually coincide with the statements of the Armenian side accusing Azerbaijan of "illegal trials of Karabakh Armenians."

“We are talking about the leaders of the separatist regime and the people who committed crimes against the people of Azerbaijan,” he added.

The political scientist recalled that Moscow is always ready to express its support for Baku in the political arena: "Russia follows the events happening in the South Caucasus. Moscow and Baku are partners, and our presidents have very good relations. This, of course, has a serious impact on the future development of cultural and economic relations between our countries."
