The Speaker of the Milli Majlis highlighted the central role of the ties between the heads of state in the progress of bilateral relations, as reported by the Press and Public Relations Department of the Milli Majlis. She emphasized the contribution to the ongoing expansion of cooperation through reciprocal visits, meetings, and documents signed between the two sides to date. The Speaker of the Milli Majlis then addressed Azerbaijan's successful de-occupation of its territories and the restoration of sovereignty. She expressed regret over the double standards prevailing in the world, stating that certain countries unable to accept Azerbaijan's achievements take unfair and biased stances toward the country. Gafarova specifically highlighted France's recent attitude toward Azerbaijan, referring to the latest resolution of the French Senate passed a few days ago as a clear manifestation of hypocrisy. She added that France demonstrates open contempt for international law standards and principles by taking such steps.

The Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Azerbaijan, Alim Bayel, expressed satisfaction with the dynamic advancement of relations between the two countries. He mentioned the contribution to this process from the productive work and mutual visits of the heads of state. Bayel affirmed his commitment, in his role as ambassador, to spare no effort for the continued growth of the relationship.

The meeting saw discussions on the joint projects of the two countries, the progress of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Corridor, the installation of a fiber optic communication line across the Caspian seabed, and the shipping of crude oil from Kazakhstan across Azerbaijan.

The parties acknowledged that Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan are enhancing humanitarian cooperation as well, emphasizing that such efforts bring the nations closer together. They also highlighted the Kazakhstan Culture Days held in Azerbaijan last year. The sides exchanged opinions on other matters of shared interest during the conversation.
