The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, addressed a congratulatory letter to his Latvian counterpart, Krisjanis Karins, on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
The Embassy of Latvia in Azerbaijan told Report that the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Latvia, Elnur Sultanov, met with the Under-Secretary of State at the Latvian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Political Director Andžejs Viļumsons, and presented the letter.
During the meeting, the parties highly appreciated the bilateral relations and emphasized that thanks to the Strategic Partnership between Latvia and Azerbaijan, which started in 2017, the regular political dialogue is continued and the dynamic cooperation both in the economy and in other fields is developed.
Diplomatic relations between Latvia and Azerbaijan were established on January 11, 1994.
