Haylar's "epidemic of nationalism".

"Sleep, baby, the Turk will come and kill you!"

August 1983... I worked as a teacher in the Arazdayan village garden of Vedibasar. There were Armenian children in my group. One of them was Karine, whom you see in the picture. He had just turned 3 years old. Like all children, Karine's love was pure. And his hatred, which is growing like himself.

That August morning, Karine came to the garden in such a sad state that I thought: she must have been hurt at home. As usual, I took her in my arms and lifted her over my head and started spinning. Sobbing, Karine wrapped her arms around my neck and began to repeat the words, "Real sister, don't be a Turk" through sobs. Toppush hugged me with his hands. As if, if he let go, I would become a "Turk" at that moment. Karine's devotion to me mixed with tears and flowed down her plump cheeks. My arms went limp. I turned and looked at his mother Larisa. He understood my accusing look and said: "Karine, tonight he found out that you are Turkish and cried all night."

Karine was still 3 years old. His love for me was ready to be replaced by hatred. He cried all night because I was a Turk. After that, sometimes Karine forgot that I was Turkish. But as soon as he remembered, he moved away. I still remember how upset he was. He fixed his eyes on me, looked, then turned away. Karine never hugged me the same way after that day.

More than 40 years have passed. But I still can't forget Karine's hatred for Turks and her sobbing "Real sister, don't be a Turk" born of her previous love for me, and her mother's response, "Karine found out tonight that you are a Turk and cried all night." For years, every time I remember this incident, I feel as if I am reliving it. But I never blamed Karine. All this was not the fault of the 3-year-old girl. It was a small drop of poisonous Armenian nationalism rooted in hatred that made him like this. A false ideology that leads the Armenian society to psychological erosion and bloody enmity. At the core of this was the hatred against the Turks, which was fueled from the cradle.

Again, Arazdeyan village garden. The nanny of the group was an old Armenian woman. We used to say "Margush doda" (aunt). When putting the children to bed, he used to say: "Sleep, or the Turk will come and tear your stomach with a dagger", "Sleep, or the Turk will come and drink your blood." I said: Aunt Margush, why do you say that, you're not right? His answer was: "I'm afraid that they will go to bed early, so that our ears can rest." In Armenian society, it was a common thing to scare children with the image of a Turk... Even in the Soviet era, which turned "friendship of peoples" into a flag!

Our neighbor aunt Lusik also used to scare her grandchildren with the Turks. "Oh, child, come home, or the Turk will come and take out your liver" and so on. I am sure that my compatriots who lived in Western Azerbaijan have come across this deadly reality again and again. So why did I have to remember them again?

Today, from the European Parliament, I am watching the statements of Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and others about the "genocide" committed against the Armenians in Azerbaijan and the "great support" from that Europe, which has been mute, deaf and blind since 1988, on Armenian TV channels. I couldn't help but recall the scene created by the venom of hate injected into the karines' baby brains. In such a place, they said to give my name to you...

Supposedly, Ararat Mirzoyan does not know that the Armenian youth has been brought up in the spirit of hatred for the Turks, starting from the cradle, kindergarten, and school? Is Ararat Mirzoyan who talks about hatred of Armenians in Azerbaijan, or is he not aware of the spirit of hatred towards Turks in all spheres of Armenian life? Armenian art, literature, cinema, and music are almost based on hatred of Turks: Turks are barbarians! Turk is wild! Turk is bloodthirsty! Turkish women, old people, and children are killing everyone without knowing it! In short, the Turk is a villain! Undoubtedly, Ararat Mirzoyan grew up under the sounds of this anthem of hatred of the Armenians and rose to the level of a staunch anti-Turkish diplomat. Unfortunately, this ideological propaganda, which has been carried out for years, has already worked its way into the marrow of the Armenian society. The virus that reaches the bone marrow is incurable. In fact, Armenians have no intention of recovery. This is due to the fact that Turkish enmity, whether official or unofficial, makes no difference, and has always been openly propagated.

In the 20th minute of the 8th episode of the movie "Mer Gyugi" ("Our Village"), which was broadcast on the Armenian state television, the woman who defended her arrested husband said, "My Vacom has never killed anyone but a Turk in his life. "My husband is now a criminal?" - what does he instill in the Armenian youth? I wonder how Ararat Mirzoyan will explain the "culture" of presenting the toilet as the "Turkish embassy" in the 35th minute of the 1st episode of the same film in the European Parliament.

Or, in 2002, in the 99th minute of the film "Ararat" directed by Atom Egoyan, a "wild Turk" officer raped a pregnant Armenian woman in front of people, as well as her 3-4 year old child (again: I'll give you my name. .. insolence), I wonder if Ararat Mirzoyan would have the courage to explain it as the poisoning of Armenian society by the Armenians.

Or, how can it be justified that the singer was met with thunderous applause when he performed the verse from the song "I will take the sword in my hand and cut off the Turk's head right and left" in an official concert broadcast on Armenia's Public TV a few years ago, in which former President Serzh Sargsyan and his wife participated?

The examples I have given are a drop from the "sea of Turkish hatred of Armenians". Dashnak philosophy rooted in hatred of Turks... Unfortunately, the Armenian society still cannot get rid of the Dashnak ideology, which inherited them only through blood. Describing the Dashnak party, Armenian historian Leo (Arkel Babakhanyan) clearly wrote: "This is the party that does not stop the politics of shedding blood!"

These words were written a hundred years ago. My first acquaintance with this bloodthirsty party happened in the 1970s without even realizing it. We had a neighbor named Matil grandmother. He would come to us almost every evening. He spoke to us in Azerbaijani with a strange accent. Bibi used to say in her conversation with Tovuz: "Let them be rooted out, devotees." Armenians are drowned in blood every 100 years." Grandma Matil was an Armenian from Istanbul, and of course I did not understand the gist of this conversation at that time. He used to talk so much about his Turkish neighbors and his good life in Istanbul that...

Now I ask myself. Contrary to the Dashnak ideology that imposes the Turks on the Armenian society, even with the image of the enemy, grandmother Matil, an Armenian of Istanbul who saw the reality with her own eyes, would she have been so close to us if she had seen some evil and brutality from the Turks? Would he talk about them longingly? We were next door neighbors. And I used to go to Grandma Matil often. Grandma Matil, for some reason, used to open the door late. And when he saw that I was the guest, he would take heart and lower the volume of the radio. Turkish music was playing.

O həmişə türk şərqilərini dinləyirdi. Birdən qapı döyüləndə yenə dərhal radionu söndürürdü. Nəvələri Ofiq və Hraç gələndə də müsiqini dayandırırdı. Bilirdi nəvələrinin də qanlarını zəhərləyiblər.

Mən dərhal qalxıb ona yer verdim. Arxadan səsləndilər: “Nədən o türkə yer verirsən?”. Geri dönüb “Mən də türkəm” – dedim. Və yenə sovet dönəmi idi...

Nədən bunları yazmaq istədim. Yuxarıda da qeyd etiyim kimi, bugünlərdə Avropa tribunalarında “Azərbaycanda ermənilərə qarşı soyqırımı tüğyan edir” – deyə car çəkən erməni rəsmilərinə, hələ sovet dönəmində belə, Ermənistanda bizlərə qarşı aparılan iyrənc daşnak siyasətini xatırlatmaq istədim. O zaman Azərbaycanda əsla belə şeylərə rast gəlinməzdi... Ermənilər Azərbaycanda milli fərqi sezmədən yaşayırdılar... Köçüb gedən ermənilərin bir çoxu da bunu təsdiq edir.

And a very large number of Armenians who left Azerbaijan due to the Karabakh conflict, which arose as a result of the Dashnak ideology, did not go to Armenia. Because they were called Turkified Armenians and looked down upon. Just as now, from the Armenian parliament to the most diverse levels, the term "Turk" is used as an insult. Isn't Turkophobia, which is instilled in the blood of Armenian babies every moment from childhood, and as a result, hatred of Turks, an incurable disease of Armenian society, Mr. Ararat Mirzoyan?

It seems so disgusting that those who have been pursuing a policy of hatred against Turks for hundreds of years are talking about the existence of hatred against Armenians in Azerbaijan today... Of course, no one can erase the scene of hell on earth that has been etched in the memory of the Khojaly disasters. After the occupation and devastation of Azerbaijani lands, tens of thousands of innocent people were killed, it is understandable that there is hatred in Azerbaijan. However, no one in our country thinks about turning hatred against the Armenian people into a point of national ideology. There are people who have committed unprecedented crimes against our people, and they must be punished. The "Armenian Genocide" fiction plays the role of a machine that spews hatred against the Turks, as it did yesterday.
