Turkish minister: Zangazur corridor can be realized in 2028, Armenia also gives positive signals

In an interview with Tvnet, the Minister of Transport and Infrastructure of Türkiye, Abdulkadir Uraloglu, said that the Zangazur Corridor project, which will connect his country with the Turkic world, can be implemented in 2028, Report informs.

 

The minister said that the work on the corridor will continue in the next 5 years: "Recently, there have been positive messages from Armenia on this issue. The 43-kilometer part of the corridor is in the territory of Armenia. The issue will be resolved when the planning is completed. Thus, we will be able to connect with the Turkic world more easily."

 

Uraloglu pointed out that Iran also wants to join the Zangazur Corridor: "There are discussions between Iran and Türkiye for this. The Zangazur corridor is very important for us. We can also help Iran join this project. We have taken steps regarding the 224-kilometer section of the Zangazur Corridor from the Turkish side. Hopefully, we will complete all the work in 2028."
