Organized by Istanbul Türkiye Azerbaijan Solidarity and Culture Association (ISTAD), an event marking the World Azerbaijanis Solidarity Day has been held in Istanbul, Türkiye.

The gathering commenced with the performance of the national anthems of Azerbaijan and Türkiye, followed by a minute of silence to honor the martyrs of the two fraternal countries.

Addressing the event, Istanbul's Kadıköy governor Muhittin Pamuk, ISTAD Chairman Safar Garagoyunlu and others highlighted the importance of the event, shedding light into the glorious path of Azerbaijan towards independence, as well as the Azerbaijan-Türkiye brotherhood.

The speakers also underscored the unparalleled services and exceptional contributions of Great Leaders Heydar Aliyev and Mustafa Kemal Atatürk in shaping the free and prosperous lives of the two nations.

The speakers described the past hundred years as a century of revival for both Azerbaijan and Türkiye, despite all the challenges.

The event concluded with a concert program.
