Turkish Vice President attends “Meeting of the Business World” event in Baku

The event themed “Meeting of the Business World” has been held in Baku.

Vice President of the Republic of Türkiye Cevdet Yilmaz and Turkish Ambassador to Azerbaijan Cahit Bagci attended the event.

Organized by “Türkiye One Hundred Years of Unity and Solidarity Platform Azerbaijan”, the event brought together the businessmen operating in Azerbaijan.

Touching upon the cooperation between Azerbaijan and Türkiye, Vice President Cevdet Yilmaz: “We want that this cooperation, developing under Heydar Aliyev’s “One Nation, two states” motto to manifest itself in the economic sphere and, together with the businessmen, we will go even further. The ties based on the friendship relations, covering the other neighboring countries, have become multilateral, and we are working together to achieve prosperity in the region. We believe that the jointly developing Azerbaijan-Türkiye relations will bring stability to the Caucasus.”

Noting that Türkiye always stands by Azerbaijan, Turkish Ambassador to Azerbaijan Cahit Bagci said they are sparing no effort to develop relations between two countries in all areas. "We are committed to achieving the $15 billion bilateral trade target set by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev. In this context, our trade volume reached $6 billion in the first 10 months of 2023. Currently, Türkiye is Azerbaijan’s second largest trading partner,” the ambassador added.
