Deputy Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Elnur Mammadov held political consultations with Deputy Foreign Minister of Cuba Elio Rodriguez Perdomo, during his visit to the Caribbean country, XQ informs, citing the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.
The ministry noted that these were the first political consultations between Azerbaijan and Cuba.
The parties discussed bilateral relations, and the development of mutually beneficial cooperation in the trade, economic, medical, tourism and educational spheres.
At the meeting, a memorandum of understanding was signed to create a mechanism for political consultations between the foreign ministries of Azerbaijan and Cuba.
