Azerbaijan 'is an example' for many countries in the issue of demining, Nigel Ellway, Director and owner of Revive - Eco assessment tools in Mine Action told Report.
According to him, the main priority for Azerbaijan is to ensure the safe return of internally displaced persons, and the country's government is actively working to achieve this goal: "What is needed today is making it safe. There's no point getting internally displaced people to go back to their homes if they are restricted to those homes because of the area around them. The reason I came to Azerbaijan is because it's an example of how people are doing it right. So you'd learn lessons from here that you can then take places like Ukraine to know this is what happens when conflict finishes," he said.
