Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said a change of leader in Türkiye's main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) would not change anything, Report informs via Turkish media.

The Turkish leader recalled that the CHP had a new chairman - Ozgur Ozel, to whom the former head of the party, Kemal Kilicdaroglu, lost at the internal party congress.

“The congress of the main opposition took place yesterday. Who did Mr. Kemal (Kilicdaroglu) say goodbye to? He said goodbye to the head of the terrorists in Edirne... They are no different. They walked shoulder to shoulder with terrorist organizations,” said the Turkish leader, speaking on Sunday in Rize.

Kilicdaroglu, 74, was the leader of the party since May 2010.
