Azerbaijan’s newly appointed Ambassador to Iraq Nasir Mammadov has presented his credentials to the country’s President Abdullatif Jamal Rashid.
Ambassador Nasir Mammadov conveyed President Ilham Aliyev’s greetings to the President of Iraq. President Abdullatif Jamal Rashid expressed his gratitude and asked to convey his greetings to the President of Azerbaijan.
President of Iraq Abdullatif Jamal Rashid congratulated the ambassador on his appointment and wished him success in his activities.
During the meeting, the sides discussed the continuation of positive cooperation between the two countries in bilateral and multilateral formats, as well as prospects for the development of relations in the economic, trade, political and humanitarian spheres.
The pair had a broad exchange of views on other issues of mutual interest at the meeting.
