Dmitry Polyansky: Road map should be drawn up for integration of Armenian population of Karabakh into legal system of Azerbaijan

For the integration of the Armenian population of Karabakh into the legal system of Azerbaijan, a step-by-step road map should be drawn up, providing a firm guarantee for the rights and security of the Armenian population of Karabakh, said the first deputy of Russia's permanent representative to the UN, Dmitry Polyansky, XQ informs.

According to him, Russia plays a leading role in resolving relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia and is interested in resolving the crisis in the region as soon as possible.

The diplomat said that the recognition of Karabakh as a part of the territory of Azerbaijan was officially determined by Yerevan at the summits held under the auspices of the European Union.

Moscow's efforts are aimed at the soon normalization of relations between Yerevan and Baku in all directions, including the preparation of a peace agreement, border delimitation and opening of communications between the two countries."
