Azerbaijan’s Minister of Health Teymur Musayev met with Vladanka Andreeva, United Nations Resident Coordinator in Azerbaijan.
Minister Teymur Musayev noted that the development of the healthcare sector is one of the priority directions of Azerbaijan’s state policy, highlighting the comprehensive reforms implemented in this field. He emphasized that cooperation with international partners, particularly the United Nations, plays an important role in ensuring sustainable development of the healthcare system.
The Minister expressed confidence that the existing collaboration with the UN would continue in a productive and constructive manner.
Expressing gratitude for the warm reception, Vladanka Andreeva reaffirmed the UN’s strong commitment to continuing its partnership with Azerbaijan, particularly through the implementation of the Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework for 2026–2030. She hailed Azerbaijan’s progress in the healthcare sector and expressed the UN’s readiness to further expand cooperation with the Ministry of Health.
During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on current cooperation in the field of healthcare, as well as future prospects, emphasizing the importance of joint projects implemented between Azerbaijan and UN structures.
