Teymur Musayev, Azerbaijan's Health Minister met with Ahmed Metani, Palestinian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the country.
Azerbaijani Minister Teymur Musayev stressed the exceptional role of heads of states in the development of relations between both peoples. Minister Musayev hailed existence of fruitful cooperation between Azerbaijan and Palestine, both bilaterally and within a number of international organizations, including the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the Non-Aligned Movement.
He also highlighted the potential for developing cooperation in the field of healthcare between the two countries. The Minister expressed his hope that cooperation would be further developed successfully in the future.
In his turn, Palestinian Ambassador Ahmed Metani expressed gratitude to the Azerbaijani state for the humanitarian assistance provided to Palestine.
Stressing the historical and traditional friendly relations between the two countries, Ahmed Metani added: "Relations between Azerbaijan and Palestine are developing successfully within the framework of the principles of solidarity, friendship and mutual respect”.
Ambassador Metani also said that Palestine is keen on building fruitful cooperation with Azerbaijan.
The meeting also discussed the other issues of mutual interest.
