A minute of silence to commemorate the 44-day Patriotic War martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan has been observed in the city of Shusha, which was liberated from the Armenian occupation.
AZERTAC’s regional correspondent reports that the commemorative event was attended by officials of the Special Representative Office of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Shusha district, Shusha City State Reserve Department, law enforcement bodies, students, as well as residents of Shusha, who returned to their native lands.
The participants laid flowers in front of the memorial plaque in the Alley of Martyrs of Shusha district.
A nationwide moment of silence to honor the memory of the Patriotic War martyrs was observed at 12:00 on September 27 across Azerbaijan, including in Shusha.
