President Ilham Aliyev expected to participate in 50th Cernobbio Forum

The 50th edition of the Cernobbio Forum, organized by Italy's The European House - Ambrosetti think tank, has commenced at Villa d'Este on the shores of Lake Como, Report informs.

The forum, themed "The scenario of today and tomorrow for competitive strategies," will run from September 6 to 8.

The traditional forum is expected to feature prominent leaders such as Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, and Queen Rania Al-Abdullah of Jordan. Italian President Sergio Mattarella has addressed the international event participants via video message.

The forum will bring together heads of state and government from six countries, leaders of 13 local executive bodies in Italy, 11 ministers, and politicians, academics, institutional and business speakers and guests from 27 countries. The event, which annually attracts 300 speakers and is covered by nearly 400 journalists, requires the efforts of over 1,300 people to ensure its success. The forum has an estimated social and economic impact of 4 million euros for Italy and contributes 2 million euros to the GDP.

The most prestigious event organized by The European House – Ambrosetti, the forum, traditionally known as "Cernobbio Forum", brings together an array of speakers of the highest level from the world of politics, academia, government and business, from across the globe. Since 1975, it fosters debates on today and tomorrow's major global issues.
