Approximately 20,000 guests are expected to arrive in Azerbaijan on the sidelines of the 13th session of the United Nations World Urban Forum (WUF13). A large number of international organizations will participate in the event. The relevant institutions and professional associations from several countries have requested support from the Union of Architects to register for the forum and work is ongoing,” said honored architect Elbay Gasimzade, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Azerbaijan Union of Architects, in an interview with AZERTAC.

“Our participation in the event is scheduled across various forms. Of course, main representatives of the Azerbaijan Union of Architects will address as speakers the several panels and join the discussions. Besides, we will launch two major exhibitions. The first exhibition will be dedicated to Azerbaijan`s architectural heritage, while the second ones will cover modern world architecture,” Elbay Gasimzade emphasized.
