The 10th Beijing International Art Biennale opened at the Beijing Exhibition Center, showcasing approximately 600 contemporary artworks from around 120 countries.
The exhibition is co-hosted by the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles, the Publicity Department of the Beijing Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China, and the China Artists Association.
The biennale, themed "Coexistence," features thematic exhibitions, special exhibitions, and country-focused exhibitions, focusing on global topics such as peace and development, ecological civilization, and the ethics of science and technology.
Organized by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Azerbaijan is participating at the Biennale with the featured work “Village Wedding” by artist Butunay Hagverdiyev.
In his work, the artist highlighted the rural essence of Azerbaijani wedding traditions by shifting the focus away from the bride and groom to the lively energy of the guests. Through a rich, colorful palette, the artist masterfully depicted the poetic spirit of hardworking Azerbaijani people on a white canvas. His unique work on national customs has captured the attention of both international art masters and the public in Beijing.
The Biennale also featured the 1st International Art Conference, providing a global platform for the cultural exchange.
