The 140th anniversary of Uzeyir Hajibeyli, founder of Azerbaijani national music, author of the first opera in the East, and composer of Azerbaijan’s National Anthem, will be celebrated at UNESCO headquarters.
Co-organized by Azerbaijan’s Permanent Mission to UNESCO and the France-Azerbaijan Dialogue association, the concert program has been prepared under the leadership of French cellist and President of the Arts Au Diapason association, Laure Volpato.
Volpato, together with the Trio Avery Ensemble, will perform selected works by Uzeyir Hajibayli, introducing the audience to his unique musical legacy.
