Gala concert held to mark opening of Days of Azerbaijani Culture in Tajikistan

A gala concert has been held at the Tajikistan Opera and Ballet Theater to mark the opening of the Days of Azerbaijani Culture, Report informs.

The gala concert was attended by Azerbaijani Culture Minister Adil Karimli, his Tajik counterpart Matlubakhon Sattoriyen, Azerbaijani Ambassador to this country Alimirzamin Asgarov, as well as representatives of the two countries' ministries of culture, embassy staff, cultural figures and the public.

Minister Adil Karimli spoke about the cultural ties between the two countries, mutual trust at the level of heads of state. In turn, Tajikistan's Minister of Culture Matlubakhon Sattoriyen noted that Azerbaijani-Tajik relations have deep roots.

After the speeches, a concert program was presented by masters of the arts of Azerbaijan, as well as the Azerbaijan State Dance Ensemble, composers' and folk songs were performed.

The events within the Days of Azerbaijani Culture in Tajikistan will last until May 22.
