Special mention for Azerbaijani cinema at Zagora International Festival

The curtain fell last friday on the 18th edition of the International Trans-Saharan Film Festival in Zagora, a city in southeastern Morocco.

When the final results were announced by the jury of the various film competitions, the Kazakh film "Talaq" directed by Denyar Salamat won the Grand Prize for Fiction Feature Film, while the Special Jury Prize was awarded to the Azerbaijani film "Cold as Marble", directed by Asif Rustamov.

The participation of Azerbaijani cinema was not limited to results. Indeed, the Azerbaijani lead actor managed to attract the attention and admiration of the audience in the film "Cold as Marble", to the point that he won the award for Best Actor, thanks to his great artistic talent and masterful performance in the film.

The screening of Asif Rustamov's film "Cold as Marble" was also an opportunity for the Moroccan public and all those who came to Zagora, from different continents to participate or follow the activities of the festival, to discover the artistic level reached by the cinema of the Republic of Azerbaijan, which has earned it a great place on the world stage and at the level of all international festivals of the seventh art.
