Amina Dilbazi, who has provided exceptional services in the preservation and revival of the centuries-old traditions of Azerbaijani dance art, has always demonstrated high stage culture during her long career, and thanks to her innate talent and unique performance capabilities, she has given new shades to valuable samples of folk dances and enriched them with original performance style.
Today is the 104th anniversary of the birth of Amina Dilbazi, a well-known representative of the national choreographic school of the Azerbaijani people, an outstanding dance master, People's Artist, recipient of the Order of Independence.
Amina Dilbazi was born in 1919 in Gazakh district, the homeland of Ashiq music, saz airs, poetry and art. In 1935, he went on stage for the first time and performed the song "Kolkhoz steppes" composed by genius Uzeyir Hajibeyli. He worked as a soloist of the Azerbaijan State Philharmonic Song and Dance Ensemble named after Muslim Magomayev in 1936-1969 and led dance groups in different years.
He started his teaching career in 1939 at the Theater Technical College. Later, Amina Dilbazi, who worked as a pedagogue for many years at the Baku Choreography School and the Art Gymnasium under the Azerbaijan National Conservatory, spent her rich artistic experience on the formation of national choreography in our country and spared no effort and skill in teaching the intricacies of folk dances to the younger generation. With this, he made great contributions to the maturation process of the national dance school.
The name of Amina Dilbazi is closely related to the creation of professional and independent dance ensembles in our country. The skilled performer led the "Chinar" student dance group created by the Azerbaijan Medical Institute in 1959. In 1967, she created the "Sevinc" girls' ensemble. With this, Amina Dilbazi, who directed her rich pedagogical experience to the development of national choreography in our country, worked tirelessly to train a new generation of performers who are familiar with the secrets of folk dances, and directly helped many national dance performers to work in professional dance art. He succeeded in creating real pearls of art by enriching our classical national dances with a new style of performance.
Throughout his career, the repertoire of the outstanding performer has always been characterized by its variety. He has choreographed dances in many films. The dances "Innabi", "Tarakama", "Vazhzali-Mirzeyi", "Turaci", "Naz elema" performed by a skilled dancer are especially popular.
Amina Dilbazi also staged dances in the opera "Leyli and Majnun", the comedies "Arshin mal alan" and "O olesin, bu olsen" and other works. Dancer "Azabli ways", "I add a song", "Star" and others. was the choreographer of films.
In addition to making worthy contributions to the survival of bright examples of our dances, whose historical roots are connected to the ancients, Amina Dilbazi has also found her way to the hearts of the audience as a skilled performer of the dances of the world's peoples. The repertoire of the outstanding dancer includes Russian, Ukrainian, Uzbek, Arabic, Chinese, etc. folk dances are included. Along with this, Amina Dilbazi played a unique role in the recognition and wide fame of Azerbaijani culture in foreign countries.
The well-known dancer was awarded the title of Honored Artist in 1954, People's Artist in 1959, and the Order of Independence in 1999. The 100th anniversary of the birth of Amina Dilbazi was widely celebrated in our country by the relevant Decree of President Ilham Aliyev.
Besides being a beautiful artist, Amina Dilbazi was also the wife of an outstanding musician such as Covdat Hajiyev.
Amina Dilbazi, who joined the real world on April 30, 2010, as a great dance master with rich experience and skillful pedagogic skills, will never be forgotten for the great work she did for the development of our national choreography by teaching the intricacies of our folk dances to the younger generation.
