Azerbaijani short feature film "The Well", produced by "Azerbaijanfilm" studio, will be demonstrated in the 33rd Cottbus International Film Festival, to be held in Germany on November 7-12.
The movie "The Well", which will premiere at the Cottbus International Film Festival, will be shown in the EcoEast section of the festival.
The movie alternating between colour and black and white tells of a dowser in search of water - and life itself. The director and screenwriter of the film is Rufat Ray, while producers are Fariz Ahmadov, Irada Bagyrzade, Mushfiq Hatamov and Jamil Guliyev, director of photography Nadir Mehdiyev, production artists Rafig Nasirov and Arif Niftiyev, composer Elmir Mirzayev. Parviz Mammadrzayev and Shamil Suleymanli co-starring the film.
The FilmFestival Cottbus (FFC) is one of the leading international festivals of Eastern European film. The FFC wants to show good films and give them access to the market. In addition, it aims to strengthen talents, to arouse curiosity about Eastern Europe, to question common clichés and to promote the dialogue between and with Eastern European filmmakers.
