Kazakh cities of Astana and Turkestan host “The Days of Shusha”

In connection with the declaration of the city of Shusha as the cultural capital of the Turkic world for 2023, “The Days of Shusha” have been held in the capital city Astana and in the city of Turkestan of Kazakhstan on October 3-6.

 

The events, which featured various programs reflecting the history and culture of the city of Shusha and the entire Karabakh regions, were co-organized by the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation together with the Shusha City State Reserve and the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of KaIn their opening remarks, Chairperson of the Culture Committee of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kumis Seitova, as well as President of the International Foundation for Turkish Culture and Heritage Gunay Efendiyeva, and Azerbaijani ambassador to Kazakhstan Aghalar Atamoghlanov spoke of the rich history and cultural significance of Shusha city, highlighting the significance of the project in contributing further strengthening of relations between the two fraternal states of the Turkic world - Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan.
