“Peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia remains essential,” said William Joyce, US Acting Assistant Secretary for the Office of International Affairs of the Department of Energy as he addressed the official reception marking May 28 – the Independence Day and June 26 – the Armed Forces Day of Azerbaijan in Washington.
“We are heartened by Azerbaijan and Armenia's agreement on the text of the peace treaty and look forward to parties signing and ratifying the treaty soon. As President Trump has made clear, the administration is advancing peace throughout the world. On this day, honoring Azerbaijan, the United States reaffirms its support for Azerbaijan's independence and sovereignty,” official of the Department of Energy added.
