A new edition of IRS-Heritage magazine, a key platform for promoting Azerbaijani history, culture, and realities globally, has been released in Italian.
This edition highlights the significance of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP29) to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, which was hosted by Baku last November. It covers discussions held at the conference regarding critical global environmental challenges.
The magazine also features Azerbaijan’s renewable and green energy projects, the restoration and reconstruction works based on smart city and smart village concepts in Karabakh and East Zangezur, and efforts toward establishing a green energy zone.
Special attention is given to the remarks by Luca Di Gianfrancesco, the Italian Ambassador to Azerbaijan, on the growing relations between the two countries, particularly in innovation, culture, and academia. The ambassador emphasized the strengthening of the deep-rooted ties of friendship and noted that bilateral relations have been elevated to the level of strategic partnership, thanks to numerous high-level visits.
The edition also provides insights into the Heydar Aliyev Center in Baku, a masterpiece by world-famous architect Zaha Hadid, as well as the Albanian Apostolic Church of Azerbaijan—one of the world’s oldest churches—the Albanian-Udi Christian community, and the mine contamination challenges faced by Azerbaijan in the liberated territories.
The magazine notes that Azerbaijani women have always played a decisive role in shaping the country’s future and have contributed significantly to its development and progress.
Azerbaijani music and mugham, along with national cuisine and traditional beverages, are also featured in this edition.
