Pope Francis is in a stable condition as he battles pneumonia in a Rome hospital, is getting oxygen without a mask and does not have a fever, according to ANSA.

The Pope's clinical conditions remained stable today; the Pope did not require non-invasive mechanical ventilation, but only high-flow oxygen therapy; and he is afebrile, the Vatican said.

In view of the complexity of the clinical picture, the prognosis remains guarded, said the bulletin.

This morning the Pope attended Mass, together with those who are taking care of him during these days of hospitalization, then he alternated rest with prayer.
