Azerbaijan's Zagatala resident hospitalized after AZAL plane crash discharged from hospital

Mahir Jarayev, a resident of Danachi village in Azerbaijan's Zagatala district who was injured in the AZAL plane crash near Kazakhstan's Aktau and regained consciousness four days after the incident, has been discharged from the hospital, Report informs.

The man was receiving treatment in one of Baku's medical facilities and has already returned to his home village.

Jarayev said that he doesn't exactly remember what happened since he lost consciousness after the incident.

 
"I bought a ticket for a flight to Grozny on December 25. We boarded the plane in Baku, the flight was supposed to last about an hour. When the plane was descending, we heard a loud sound. At that moment, we couldn't understand what had happened. After some time, the pilot tried to land the plane again, but failed. I don't remember what happened next. I only regained consciousness when I was being sent from Kazakhstan to Azerbaijan. I remember being in intensive care," he noted.

The resident of Zagatala said that he, like other victims of the crash, were provided by state care.
