The first diaspora organization of the Azerbaijani community residing in Colorado, the United States, has been established, Report informs, citing the State Committee on Work with Diaspora of Azerbaijan.
According to the committee, the primary goal of the organization called "Azerbaijani Diaspora in Colorado" is to enhance the representation of the Azerbaijani community in American society and ensure this mission is passed on to future generations.
The organization's main objectives include fostering relationships between Colorado Azerbaijanis and other ethnic groups in the US, local communities, and younger generations, as well as promoting the Azerbaijani language and culture.
Nigar Shikhsafiyeva, the founder and leader of the newly established organization, emphasized that significant steps will be taken to expand Azerbaijan's diaspora activities and promote the country in the United States.
