Azerbaijan will successfully host COP29 despite the smear campaign launched against the country, said Kamran Imanov, chairman of the Board of the Intellectual Property Agency, at a round table meeting on Intellectual Property and Innovation for a Green Future, Report informs.
He noted that the decision to hold COP29 in Baku expresses global-level support for Azerbaijan's green energy policy and identifies the transportation of green energy to world markets as a new priority direction of energy policy.
"Governments and cities must accelerate the development and scale up technologies to reduce climate impact. The choice of technologies is now more important than ever. Simple optimization of existing systems will not be enough to achieve climate goals," Imanov added.
