The 7th meeting of the Airport Interdepartmental Commission on Aviation Security was held at Heydar Aliyev International Airport. The event was attended by representatives of Azerbaijan Airlines CJSC, the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, the State Civil Aviation Agency, as well as senior officials from law enforcement agencies and other entities within the aviation sector.
Report informs citing the airport that the main topic of discussion was the enhancement of civil aviation security measures and ensuring the highest level of passenger safety. A detailed discussion was held on the Training Plan, which includes initial response measures to unlawful interference, the optimization of security zones, and threat assessments. The importance of cooperation between relevant bodies for the continuous development of aviation security was emphasized.
Additionally, the participants discussed strengthening security measures during the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29), scheduled to take place in Baku. Additional measures to control passenger flow and effectively manage risks were discussed.
It should be noted that regular meetings of this kind make a significant contribution to the development of civil aviation safety in accordance with international standards and the timely implementation of preventive measures against possible threats.
