AZAL, Azerbaijan Tourism Board, Trip.com Group join forces to boost Azerbaijan's presence in Chinese tourism market

Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL), the Azerbaijan Tourism Board under the State Tourism Agency, and Trip.com Group have signed a memorandum of mutual understanding.

As part of the collaboration, the Azerbaijan Tourism Board, in conjunction with AZAL, organized a series of events in Beijing to bolster tourism ties between the two nations.

As part of the events, a Memorandum was signed to strengthen cooperation in the field of tourism. According to the document, the Ctrip platform will be actively used to promote Azerbaijan as an attractive tourist destination for Chinese travelers.

According to the agency, in January-August 2024, Azerbaijan was visited by 26,866 tourists from China, which is more than twice the figure for the 8 months of the previous year.
